Finally! A Schedule!

Sorry it's so last minute, but there's finally a schedule for #WCLWP this weekend.

Friday, Dec. 28 6 PM ET - Gather at Lake. Snacks will be catered by our favorite Lake with Petie caterers, @FreshOtis and @MickeyShortTail.

Saturday, Dec. 29 - Breakfast on your own. There'll be a buffet set up featuring just about everything you can think of. Look at these goodies!



Fill up, cuz you're gonna need the energy. Pack your warmest clothes, too, cuz we're going ice sailing on the lake! We'll meet lakeside at 11 AM ET.

After sailing, the big green bus will take you into town so you can get lunch. Or you can raid the kitchen - it'll be fully stocked with everything you could possibly want.

Also pack your very best outfit! Saturday night, our favorite caterers will be back with a banquet and dancing!

 

The fun will start at 6 PM ET. We'll have music and dancing from 7 to 11 PM ET and barktenders from 6 PM til Midnight ET.

 

Sunday, Dec 30 - The buffet will be set up again for brunch from 11 AM to 1 PM ET. EK & Candy wanted to do something special this year for #WCLWP, so they're gonna set up an omelet bar and make omelets to order, too.

 



 

The rest of Sunday is on your own. There's always lots to do! The ice boats are rented for the whole weekend! There will also be jet skis, skating, and anything else you'd like to do.

Winter Carnival 2011 Final Update

Everything's organized for Winter Carnival Lake at Lake with Petie. #Nipclub catering has all the food arranged. The cabin's been shined up, wood stocked for the fireplace, and all the activities are organized. There's a spreadsheet showing who's involved in which activities if anyone wants to know ahead of time what acitivities they're signed up for if they made it into the official photographs.

My apologies to anyone who didn't make it into the photos. I didn't have headshots for everyone who signed up, and some signed up after the photos were made. If you didn't make it in on time, send me your headshot and what activities you want to be in and I'll make photos for you after the weekend is over and email them to you. Three More Weeks Until #WCLWP

Only three more weeks until Winter Carnival at Lake with Petie and the schedule is set. It’s going to be an exciting weekend. Friday night will be kind of loosey goosey as folks arrive. Everything starts at 6PM Central Time. In fact, all times are Central Time. The wonderful chefs and #Nipclub Catering will have a buffet of yummy stews, soups, breads, desserts and drinks waiting for you. There will also be moonlight horse drawn sleigh rides starting at 8PM. Or you can just relax around the fireplace. There will be a self serve bar where you can fix yourself a hot toddy! The bar will be fully stocked so you can fix whatever you want and will be open 24/7.

Saturday breakfast will be from 7AM to 9AM and will again be buffet style. Not sure what #Nipclub Catering has on the breakfast menu, but I promise it will be fantastic. At 10AM the fun begins. There will be snowball fights, snow and ice sculpting, and skating on the lake until 11:30AM. You’ll have half an hour to get dry and warm up before lunch. We’ll be serving from noon until 1PM. Afternoon fun starts at 2 and goes until 3:30 unless pals want to go longer. We’ll head out into the woods for snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. Sorry for the compressed schedule, but it does get dark early in the winter!

Dinner will be at 6PM. That should give everyone a chance to rest and relax. After dinner is free time. You can hang around the fireplace, go for another sleigh ride, build a snowman, or whatever strikes your fancy. Unfortunately, the official photographer won’t be available for after dinner activities, but I’m sure some of you will have your own cameras to record all the fun!

Sunday morning breakfast will be the same as Saturday – buffet from 7AM to 9AM. I know most of you will be partied out by then, but all the activities will be available from 10AM to 12PM for those who are interested. The transporter will be available all morning so you can leave whenever you’re ready.

Plans are in the works

Candy & Pumpkin toasting mousemallows

You may think that December 17 is very far away, but it will be here before you know it. There are big plans in the works. #Nipclub has agreed to cater the whole weekend, so you know the food will be amazing. And of course, a selection of noms will be available 24/7 in case you're too busy having fun to make it to meals.

There's a lot of prep work to do, and I really need your headshots as soon as possible. I also need to know if there are any particular acitivities you want to be involved in. Currently, the activities planned are:
cross-country skiing
skating on the lake
snow ball fights
snow-shoeing
sleigh rides
snow or ice sculpting
snowmobiling

There will be a fire in the fireplace for relaxing and a fully stocked, self-service bar. Of course, we'll also have lots of hot cocoa, mousemallows, nip tea, mulled cider, and coffee for warming up with.

Winter Carnival at lake With Petie #WCLWP

Can't get enough lake with Petie? Wish the summer wasn't over and thinking next summer is too far off? Well, you're not alone. A few of us asked Petie if we could come up for a winter carnival in December and Petie and his folks said yes! I got snow on the brain already and can't wait until our winter carnival at the lake.

We'll arrive by sleigh at the lake on Friday, December 16th and leave Sunday. All meals will be provided and you won't need tents, yurts, or heaters. Petie's folks said we could stay in the house! How pawsome is that! It even has a fireplace.

There will be lots of activities. You can choose from cross-country skiing, skating on the lake, snow ball fights, snow-shoeing, sleigh rides, snow or ice sculpting, or just relax in front of the fireplace sipping toddies. If there's something really special you want to do that I haven't thought of, just let me know!

How Do I Get To Da Lake?

Hi Everbuddy!

Lots of anipals bin asking me how dey gets to da lake so I thought I would update yoo on how to gets der.

Where is it?

Petie's lake house is in Eight Foot Falls, Manitoba, Canada

On Friday nights starting May 27, 2011 all da anipals makes dey way up to da lake.  Yoo can take bus if yoo wants.  It's called da LakeWifPetie Green Bus and it comes right to yoo house to gets yoo.  I dwive it myself since I gots a green bus license.

If yoo would rather takes a plane der, den we has Air Lily which is a vewy nice airline dat @LilyLuWhoT runs.

But if yoo takes da plane yoo gots to get to da airport - da airport is Logan International Anipal Airport and all airport limos dwive der in record time, no matter where yoo lives.

If yoo would rather takes @DuchessCrabtree 's teleportation machine den yoo needs to schedule dat wif her.

Dis machine will takes yoo to da lake in da blink of an eye.

Also, If yoo is gonna dwive yoo should go to MapQuest and puts da addwess in and gets diwections.  When yoo gets to da lake yoo gots to look fur dis sign:
